Red Rose Print (Hand Embellished/Personalised)
I have always loved the botanical paintings by artist Pierre-Joseph Redouté. He lived and worked in the 1800’s and his beautiful art of which I’m lucky enough to own a couple of his prints has been my inspiration for this painting. But I wanted to add my own personality with a modern twist.
This print started off as a scan of my original painting which I then added lots of teeny-tiny digital detail too. Little scruffy squiggles and swirls to the flowers and leaves, adding depth and shading to the print. Finally I added a few little stars which I hand-paint in beautiful metallic gold on each print, so that they literally sparkle and shine!
This print can also be personalised with a special message. My idea is that instead of sending flowers to someone special, which although beautiful will only last a while, you could instead send this print with a personal special message, which will last forever.
I hope you love this rose print as much as I have Ioved painting her. This one is called ‘Love Always Wins…’ and perfect to send to someone special and someone you love.
Printed on Epson Archival Matte Paper using Ultra Chrome K3 inks.
Hand embellished by me, the artist, with gold metallic paint.
