Lucky Cat Art Print (Hand Embellished)
Being born with the surname Luck I have always loved a lucky charm and symbol - I always carry them around with me - but of course, some people believe you make your own luck which I also believe to be true, but for me, that extra piece of luck that I have in my home or carry in my purse just makes me happy.
I have always thought how cool it would be to attach my surname to a set of lucky prints and this gorgeous happy ‘Lucky Cat’ is the first. He is so happy, just look at that face! It makes me smile and my hope is that this art brings you joy too.
My little boy and I have a solar-powered Lucky Cat which we love and this is what inspired my original painting, but of course, I had to add in my trademark stars and hearts and a few extra lucky charms!
The Lucky Cat also known as the welcoming cat is a symbol that originated in Japan. Also known as maneki-neko, which in Japanese means beckoning cat - the cat is welcoming and greeting you and considered good luck to place in your home.
The original painting features a beautiful neon pink heart and metallic gold horseshoes, so I have hand-embellished the prints so that they also have these gorgeous colours which cannot be achieved with print alone.
I hope you love ‘Lucky Cat’ as much as I have Ioved painting him.
Printed on Epson Archival Matte Paper using Ultra Chrome K3 inks.
Hand embellished by me, the artist, with neon pink paint and gold metallic paint.
Available in sizes A4 or 8x10".
Sold Unframed.
