Liberty of London Iconic Building Print (Hand Embellished)
Liberty of London is probably my most favourite iconic London building. I used to live in South East London so I went there all the time. For me, it's a place full of magic and beauty and just being inside the building gives me so much creative inspiration. I love that there is so much history in this beautiful building. Did you know it was constructed using timbers of two ancient 'three-decker' battle ships and the golden ship weather vane symbolises The Mayflower which was responsible for transporting pilgrims to the New World in 1620. If you ever get a chance to visit, you must go, but in the mean time this gorgeous print will be a lovely reminder if you have been able to visit or if you are planning a London trip one day.
This beautiful print started off as a painting I did to enter a competition for Liberty of London, alas I didn't win, but had so many people comment on the painting that I thought it would make the most beautiful print. I was right, the colours are just gorgeous! And of course this painting wouldn't be complete without my trademark hearts in there.
There are hand-painted metallic gold elements on each print - the tiny hearts, part of the wind-vane and the front windows which makes this print really special.
I hope you love this print as much as I do.
Embellished with metallic gold paint.
